Isaiah 64:8, teaches us that God can still use us no matter how great our fall because of sin. God is gracious and His mercies cover each of us from our spiritual uncleanness. Therefore, we are made fresh anew, fresh clay to complete our assignment.

If we are waking in obedience and giving reverence to God’s oracles, why do we face trials? The word trials can be defined as test run, spot checks to see if we have fully grasp the concept that is placed in front of us. 1 Peter 1:7, says, that the trials of your faith, being much more precious than the gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearance of Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Peter gives us some understanding, he says that one of the many benefits of facing trials is to test the genuineness of our faith. Like precious gold is up in value one day, it may decrease in value the next day. But true faith is indestructible. Those who place their trust in God, may undergo severe trials; but instead of their faith suffering under the attack, it becomes nourishment for their faith to be strengthened.
Ministry at its core is worship unto God, for it flows from the same posture as giving reverence unto God as an offering of your life. Matthew 20:28, says, Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. The word ministry comes from the Greek word, diakonia which translates to service. Just as Christ Jesus came as God Incarnate to serve, we to are to serve. Romans 12:1, says that Believers are called to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is their reasonable service.
Ministry becomes worship when it is done for God’s glory. This speaks of serving to encourage and to edify God’s people without taking honor or recognition for our actions. It is the posture of doing ministry that exalts the name of God.
Ministry becomes worship when it costs you something. This involves the idea of sacrifice, giving something of value to manifest God’s glory. Your sacrifice can come from myriad of avenues, such as the giving of your time, your talents, and your treasures.
Ministry becomes worship when it is empowered by love. One of the central attributes of God is love. God demonstrated His agape love toward us while we were still living in our sin. In 1 Corinthians 13, the Apostle Paul labors the point of doing everything in love. He says that without love, ministry is empty and meaningless. Therefore, it has no power to change hearts and minds.

Ministry can be seen in a myriad of ways. It is not defined solely by standing behind the pulpit, but by Believers operating in their divine calling and using their spiritual gifts to serve others.

Biblical Exegesis is the critical process of carefully drawing out the original meaning of a text, rather than using your own bias to determine its meaning called Eisegesis. To be true to the text, it is essential for us to understand the author’s intent and the context of his writing. In the realm of the Bible, there is another element that has great importance and that is grammatical structure which safeguards us from heresies that do not align with the mind of God. The word heresy refers to the misinterpretation and the misunderstandings that cause great harm to the word of God.
When we apply the discipline of exegesis, it also deepens the spiritual understanding of what God is communicating to us. Biblical Exegesis is key to those who want to grow in the wisdom and the knowledge of His word. It is a guide that will help you see themes, patterns and to discern theological depths across the Scripture. Moreover, it will help you to be more grounded in your faith, which we are called to be. We should always have an answer to give for what we believe in.
Proper exegesis is also crucial for teaching, discipleship, and leaders in ministry; for it ensures that they are communicating accurately what the Spirit of God has entrusted them to deposit in the spirit of those looking seeking greater insights from God’s word.
1 Timothy 3:1-7, gives us some qualifiers for those who are called to serve in the compactly of leadership in the church. But, just something to remember, every Believer is called to serve using your spiritual gifts to make the body of the Living Church complete. The act of ministry is the call to service. It is aligning your life to be used by God for His glory. Today, many of us think of ministry as being in position as the pastor or shepherd of the flock; but your calling is made sure wherever God has positioned you to serve, using your gifts.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Our hope rests not in the physical things that our eyes can see, but in the blessed hope of the One who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. John Calvin, the 16th century theologian said that Jesus, by His own example, brings us to the ultimate goal of faith and sustains us through our struggles, making Him our ultimate example and spiritual leader.

In the next several months, we will look at and examine the basic steps that will help you become a great apologist to stand strong on what you believe. 1 Peter 3:15 says, that we should always be ready to give an answer to every person who asketh of us the reason of the hope that is in us with meekness and fear.
Step number 1, Build a deep foundation in the Scripture. What is meant by this statement is that you cannot defend what you do not understand. We are called to study the Bible consistently, not just for information; but to get an understanding of the context, the themes, and the theology of it. This involves the overall story lines, the core doctrines, and the exegesis of the Scriptures.

Prayer is one of the most powerful tools that Believers have, for it connects the words from our heart to the ear of God. Moreover, it is our weapon of spiritual warfare in a world that puts a wedge between the promises of God and the false hope of a dark world.Martin Luther said that prayer is not a religious obligation to earn favor, but it is the life-sustaining conversation with the God who cares and shows compassion for us.
The word reconciliation is used in the Bible to mean the act of restoring something that was broken. For example, the harmony between God and man was destroyed because of sin. Christ Jesus, the God-Man came to earth to reconcile the broken relationship between God and us (2 Corinthians 5:18).
The disciples were hiding after Jesus died, but after the resurrection, they were bold and unstoppable. What changed? What changes us?
The key word here is “resurrection” it is the Greek word, anastasis, which means a standing up again. After seeing the resurrected Lord, the disciples would now be called the apostles of Christ Jesus, who were endowed with the power from the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mandate that was placed upon them by God.

It was our grief He bore, our sorrows He carried. It was our sin and transgression that nailed Him to the tree. He said not a word, but fixed His face like a flint and took what we deserved. Christ Jesus, the sinless Substitute.

What is salvation? The Biblical view describes it as being saved from sin and its consequences, but gaining eternal life with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is a inward trust in Christ resurrection and the outward submission to His authority; making our faith the mark that God accepts for salvation.
